Big Sky Brewing Company Throwing 21st Birthday Party

MISSOULA—Montana’s largest brewery—Big Sky Brewing Company—is throwing its 21st Birthday party in Caras Park on Friday, June 17, 2016. The family friendly event is open to all ages. “Come one, come all,” declared co-founder Bjorn Nabozney. Games, live music and, of course, 21 Big Sky Brewing beers will all be on tap when the doors open from 4:00-10 p.m.

The company plans to showcase its 21 years of brewing at the event with an assortment of beers created specifically for the party, including unique cask conditioned varieties and styles that are as limited as a single keg. “Heck, we may even have more than 21 beers. We’re 21, we want it to be BIG,” joked Nabozney. Other festivities will include giant cornhole, mechanical bull riding, sumo wrestling and live music.

The charitable brewer—who donates over $100,000 a year across the state—will also donate all beer proceeds from the party to local non-profit Mountain Bike Missoula (MTBM). “MTBM is thrilled to be partnering with Big Sky Brewing Company during their 21st anniversary celebration!” stated MTBM board member Jennifer Bardsley. “Our partnership will allow MTBM to build more trails for more people, keeping our community healthy and happy for generations to come.”

Being in business for 21 years has snuck up on the brewery’s founders and leadership team. “We had no clue that we’d still be kicking 21 years later,” Nabozney laughed “All we wanted to do was brew the best beer in the world and have a much fun as possible doing it.” The brewery’s flagship beer, ”Moose Drool,” and its trademarked slogan, “WE MAKE WATER FUN,” are both testaments to this culture of fun. Big Sky Brewing has always taken great pride in staying true to its original team and its Montana roots.  “There has been a lot of change in the beer market over the years,” Nabozney said.“We’ve just always stuck to our guns. We’re proud of the beer we brew and we’re proud to call Montana home.”

The party, located in the heart of Missoula, is a celebration of the state Big Sky Brewing is proud to call home. The company has sent thousands of invites across all the states they do business and even intends on sending an invite to the governor of Montana. “We hope everyone shows up!” stated Nabozney.
