2015 Sumer Concert series and Giving Back
The brewery has partnered with the Montana Natural History Museum in 2015.  Executive Director, Whitney Schwab stated: “We have felt a kinship with Big Sky Brewing for years as we are headquartered in the original Big Sky Brewing Company building.  We will help raise money for a significant need: new buses. Our partnership with Big Sky Brewing Company enables us to connect more of our Missoula community with nature.”The brewery’s sales and events coordinator, Trinda Rieck, stated: We’re excited about this year’s line-up and the opportunity to once again turn great music into community giving.”

Considered Montana’s largest outdoor amphitheater, the brewery’s music venue ranked in the top 100 outdoor amphitheaters according to a 2011 Pollstar report of worldwide ticket sales. Trinda Rieck stated: “With a diverse lineup this summer, we’re excited to see some old friends and new faces  coming out to the brewery.”

Previous charitable recipients of concert giving have included the Glacier Ice Rink, Missoula Skate Park Association, Missoula Whitewater Association, I Ride for Tanner, and Youth Homes.  The Glacier Ice Rink applied $30,000 received from the concerts in 2010  to build new locker rooms.  Brennan’s Wave received over $60,000 for the original construction of Missoula’s iconic Brennan’s Wave.  Missoula Skate Park also received $60,000 to help build Mobash Skate Park, located in McCormick Park.  I Ride for Tanner  and Youth Homes received over $77,000 (combined) in the last two years to build a new BMX park and Tom Roy Youth Home.

“Our only real stipulation for concert giving is we want to make sure the proceeds are used to build something meaningful  in a community that has supported us over the years,”  stated Rieck. Big Sky Brewing Company Committed just over $100,000 to various Missoula Non-Profits in 2013 and intends to exceed this total thisyear.

Details regarding concert times and ticket locations are available at the the Brewery’s website.
